Yuri van der Hoeven is a photographer based in Belgium, working for various theatre companies, De Standaard newspaper and cultural organisations.

He has created work for companies such as Het Kwartier, Compagnie Tartaren, ARSENAAL, Roeshoofd, STIP Theaterproducties, Herbert Foundation and MonkeyMind Company.

His practice focuses on conceptual photography and theatre photography, with a strong interest in self-built sets, scenography and visual storytelling inspired by cinema and literature. Emotion is always present in his work, often combined with fantasy and humour.
